A Little Bit More About the Conference and a Cool Website

At the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Conference I will get a chance to meet with an agent I picked out who works in the fantasy.  On top of that I will get to meet with an editor of my choice from the same genre to discuss what agents are looking for in the genre.  There is also a bunch of really interesting sessions that look like they will help me with my writing but also preparing to send my book to agents and publishers.  I didn’t know that submitting books to agents was as complicated as I found it was and I feel like I need this conference to help me prepare properly.

A Cool Website for Writers

First off, I would like to say I am not being paid to talk about this website I have just found it an amazing resource.  The website is called the writing Forums,  http://www.writingforums.com/content/.  This website contains all sorts of information about writing.  The other nice thing is that if you can’t find something on the forums about writing, how to get published, or need help with research for you book, you can just ask and they will help you.  So far they have answered several questions for me and I have found answers to many more questions just by searching the website.  The other nice thing about the website is that everyone on there is completely friendly, they have an introduction forum where normal members take their time to say hello to new members.  When I am done writing this I am taking a quick break from writing my book and stopping on their website.

 

An Apology To Readers

I would like to apologize to the readers of my site for not posting any new normal posts the other day and not even posting a word count.  I was at work and started writing but a coworker ended up distracting me.  While the distraction was fun, I feel like I got nothing done on the book and did not post on here which I consider me letting not only you but myself down.  This blog actually helps me keep my writing up.  All of you who have come and read my blog have really encouraged my writing and put a big smile on my face.  I will post an and of the night word count on top of another post on a question I was asked today by a friend.
